Assam: Truck carrying illegal liquor seized in Gossaigaon, two arrested

Simlutapu Police in the Gossaigaon Subdivision intercepted a truck carrying 1,080 cartons of illegal Arunachali liquor near Srirampur. The vehicle was reportedly en route from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi, as revealed by the truck driver during initial questioning.

The police arrested the truck driver and the consignment manager, identified as Manoj Kumar and Arjun Kumar. Both are residents of Panipat, Haryana. Authorities believe the seized liquor is part of a larger smuggling network operating across state lines.

Further investigation is underway to determine the source and intended destination of the contraband.
