Assam: Two dacoits with arms and ammunition arrested in Barpeta

In a secret operation conducted by Howly police in Assam, 2 dacoits were arrested from two different places of Barpeta District on October 18. 

The accused, Sultan Mahmud was arrested from Deuripara of Howly, and based on his statement the other accused Sayed Ali was arrested from Bhaluki of Barpeta road under Barpeta District. A 9mm gun along with nine round of bullets, an axe and a machete were recovered from their possession.

Police sources confirmed that both the accused have previous criminal records.
