Assam: Victim lodges FIR over open sale of beef in Barpeta

A victim from Lakhiganj under Bilasipara police station in Dhubri district has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at Barpeta Sadar police station bringing to light the open sale of beef at the 'Fardeen' hotel in Barpeta city. 

The incident occurred when the victim brought his mother to Barpeta Medical College Hospital for treatment. After the hospital visit, he decided to dine at the 'Fardeen' hotel situated in front of the Medical College Hospital, only to discover that the rice meal he ordered was served with beef. Upon questioning the staff, his suspicions were confirmed, leading to an abrupt expulsion from the premises.

Barpeta police responded to the FIR, reaching the site and initiating an investigation. However, the owner of the 'Fardeen' hotel managed to evade police.
