A wild elephant attack in Narayanpara, Goalpara district, has left two members of the same family dead, triggering widespread tension in the area.
The victims, identified as Ranjan Ray and Rupali Ray, were fatally attacked, marking yet another devastating incident linked to the persistent problem of human-elephant conflict in the region.
Angry locals have accused the forest department of negligence, alleging that authorities have failed to address the ongoing threat of wild elephant incursions, which has plagued the area for a long time.
