Assam: Woman's body found in Kaliabor tea garden under suspicious circumstances

In a perplexing turn of events, the body of a woman was discovered under mysterious circumstances in the Hathi Village tea garden, situated within the jurisdiction of the Kaliabor police station. Identified as Priyanka Kujur, the deceased was found in Garden No. 5 in Hatigaon.

According to reports, Priyanka Kujur was rescued in the afternoon, but by then, it was too late. Superintendent of Police from Nagaon district was promptly present at the scene to investigate the matter.

The circumstances surrounding Priyanka Kujur's demise are shrouded in ambiguity. Allegedly, she had come to the house of a relative near her father's residence with the intention of getting married, a mere week ago. However, the details regarding her marital status remain unclear.

Adding to the complexity of the situation, the husband of the deceased claims suicide as the cause of death. Nonetheless, conflicting evidence emerges as blood stains are visibly present on his body, raising suspicions and prompting further scrutiny into the matter.
