Against the backdrop of the ongoing cash-for-job scam controversy, Assam youth Congress on August 30 staged a protest alleging the state government of Running a nexus that offers job in exchange of huge amount of cash.
" The government once assured to provide job on the basis of talent, but now it has now turned out to be a bogus promise", a protester said.
Opposition MLAs raised placards and shouted slogans of "BJP GO BACK" , HIMANTA BISWAS SHARMA GO BACK' and started the march from Congress Bhavan.
It needs mention here that the Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to convene a pivotal core meeting on August 28 at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati.
Earlier on August 29, Assam Trinamool Congress Youth president Bandip Dutta on August 29 made a scathing attack on the current BJP regime and said that under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, cash for Job scam is growing in the state.
The row over the cash for job scam has been triggered following the death of Indrani Tahbildar. Many have filed complaints alleging the exchange of money for securing employment opportunities.
