Assam's Tinsukia district bags PM’s award for holistic development

Assam's Tinsukia district administration has been honoured with the prestigious Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration in the category of 'Holistic Development of Districts'. 
 

The award was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 21.
 

Expressing pride over the achievement, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated the Tinsukia District Administration for the recognition.
 

In a post on social media, he wrote, “A proud moment for Assam! Congratulations to team Tinsukia District Administration on being awarded the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration in the category of 'Holistic Development of Districts' by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji.”
 

He further added that Tinsukia has been successful in smartly implementing Central and state government policies and has emerged as a model of growth for other districts to follow.
 

Meanwhile the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration for the year 2024 was awarded to Tripura's Gomati district.
 

The award which was given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was presented in the category of 'Holistic Development of Districts' at the Civil Services Day celebration in New Delhi, on April 21.
