The Raijor Dal Party president and Sivasagar MLA, Akhil Gogoi while interacting with the media in Dhubri, reacted strongly to the CAA law's enactment, calling it an anti-Assam, anti-constitutional, communal murderous act.
"The old BJP camp who united to stand against the 'corruption' of Congress regime has been now outcasted by the leaders who recently migrated from the Congress camp...now the state BJP party is nothing but Himanta Biswa Sarma Company Private Limited," said the Raijor Dal Party president.Gogoi expressed disapproval of the state government's decision to enforce the CAA over the entire state, stating that no one would be exempted after March 24, 1971.
While the Supreme Court case is still ongoing, the Assam government's declaration is only meant to safeguard Bangladesh's Hindu population staying in Assam.

Given that the Assamese Chief Minister has said that only two applications have been submitted through the CAA process, then what is the role of this unconstitutional law? Since 1971, there have been no Bangladeshi people, and the people of Assam have rejected the principles of this law. The statute ought to be repealed in the situation.
Gogoi also asked in a parallel query that the state government's notifications should be revoked and which of the BJP leaders who had been loyal to the party would be joining other parties or leaving the party. Gogoi stated that no loyal members of the BJP will remain in the party prior to the 2026 Assembly elections.
