The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, initiated in Manipur on January 14, set off today from the vicinity of the Tuli post office in Nagaland at 8 am. The journey covered approximately 1.5 kilometers within Nagaland, reaching the Assam border at 9.30 am, marked by a formal 'flag handover' at the interstate border.
The day's comprehensive schedule included a morning break at Puthinadi, Jorhat, followed by a media interaction by Jairam Ramesh.
The Yatra resumed from Nakachari Debarapara, Jorhat, and started from Lahoty Petrol Pump in Jorhat Town to Nehru Park Cheriyali Jorhat, followed by a public address. The night halt was at Kumar Gaon, Nimati Road Jorhat. Gandhi is expected to travel 833 km in Assam, with the Yatra concluding in the state on January 25, 2024.
