Congress made Maa Kamakhya very angry by doing corruption in the name of Mahadev, says Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has accused Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of embezzling a staggering Rs 508 crore through the Mahadev betting app, sparking a heated controversy just days before the Chhattisgarh state assembly election.

Sarma delivered a scathing indictment of Baghel, stating, "Bhupesh Baghel is claiming that he is going to become Chief Minister, but I will say that Bhupesh Baghel is soon going to become the guest of the government because of the Rs 508 crore he looted from the Mahadev App."

He went on to connect the alleged corruption to religious sentiments, saying, "Congress has made Mother Kamakhya very angry by doing corruption in the name of Mahadev. Maa Kamakhya will not forgive such people."

Sarma elaborated on the cultural and religious significance of the allegations, stating, "Maa Kamakhya is another form of Parvati, Sati, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati. In the same way, Maa Kali and Maa Parvati are the wives of Lord Shiva. Today, Maa Kamakhya is crying when she knows that Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel looted money in the name of Mahadev through the Mahadev app."

Expressing his disbelief, Sarma remarked, "In the entire country, all the Maha Kali forms of Goddess—Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Saraswati, and even others—didn't even imagine that someone would make an app in the name of Lord Shiva 'Mahadev' and loot money. They could have given another name, but they directly made it in the name of Mahadev, and he did not loot one or two rupees; it is Rs 508 crore."

The Assam Chief Minister continued, "I can only say this much, that Mahadev had taken poison for the benefit, betterment, and welfare of society, but in the name of Mahadev, whatever poison you have earned, this poison you cannot consume. Because of this, only you will fail in the upcoming elections."

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) made its claims, alleging that a 'cash courier,' Asim Das, was sent from the UAE "especially to deliver large amounts of cash for electioneering expenses of the ruling Congress" in Chhattisgarh. The ED reported recovering cash worth Rs 5.39 crore from Das, further stating, "From the questioning of Asim Das, and from the forensic examination of the phone recovered from him, and examination of an email sent by Shubam Soni (one of the high-ranking accused of Mahadev network), many startling allegations have come forth, namely, that regular payments have been made in the past, and so far around Rs 508 crore have been paid by Mahadev app promoters to Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh."
