In the latest development surrounding the death of Assam police sub-inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha, her grieving mother, Sumitra Rabha, has lodged an FIR demanding a thorough investigation into what she believes was a pre-planned murder. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of May 16, has raised concerns and drawn attention to the mysterious circumstances surrounding Junmoni Rabha's tragic death.
Sumitra Rabha, deeply suspicious of foul play, wasted no time in filing the FIR at the Jakhalabandha police station in Nagaon district. Her plea calls for justice and seeks answers regarding the unfortunate loss of her daughter.
The grieving mother's claims are supported by her firsthand observations. Sumitra Rabha reported numerous injury marks on Junmoni's body, indicative of possible assault with a blunt object. Moreover, she expressed her distress at the alleged lack of consent for the post-mortem examination.
Shockingly, the recently released post-mortem report further underscores the gravity of the situation. It reveals a distressing series of findings, shedding light on several dark aspects surrounding Junmoni Rabha's demise. Multiple rib fractures on both sides of her body and various injuries on her knees, legs, elbows, and hands are among the disturbing details disclosed in the report.
Adding to the mounting concerns, Sumitra Rabha recounts the events leading up to the tragedy. On the fateful day, Junmoni Rabha had reportedly received a call from Nagaon district superintendent of police, Leena Dal, summoning her. Following this call, Junmoni left her official residence and returned later in the evening. However, suspicious activities surrounding her communication devices raise further questions.
Sumitra Rabha alleges that Junmoni's phones were intentionally switched off, impeding her ability to establish contact. Moreover, she recounts a disturbing incident where individuals claiming to be police officers forcibly entered her residence during the early hours of May 16. Sumitra Rabha claims that without any proper inquiry, they confiscated a significant sum of money belonging to Junmoni, leaving a blank paper with her own fingerprint as evidence.
