Gaurav Gogoi at India Today Mumbai Conclave: We need a revolution of the male mind

Assam Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on September 26 said that there is a need for a 'revolution of the male mind'. Speaking at India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024, Gaurav Gogoi said that combating toxic masculinity is one agenda he would like to set in Congress party in Assam.

Highlighting the global movement that has transformed women's perceptions of themselves and their relationships with others, Gogoi said, "We need a parallel revolution of masculinity; not only in terms of how we deal with women but also how we handle our own anxieties, pressures, and personal issues."

Gogoi stressed the importance of reshaping the male mindset, particularly in male-dominated political parties and called for introspection and reform within male leaders.
