Students at the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute are raising serious concerns over a range of issues affecting their academic and living conditions.
Among the primary grievances is the absence of a permanent director, a void that students claim has led to massive administrative instability and inefficiency.
Adding to the unrest is the state of the institute's infrastructure, which students argue is in urgent need of enhancement.
Inadequate and outdated laboratory equipment has further compounded their frustrations, delaying the completion of several diploma projects and stalling their academic progress.
Beyond academic concerns, students have expressed dissatisfaction with substandard hostel facilities, poor-quality canteen food, and ongoing maintenance problems, including broken toilet doors that have been left unrepaired.
In light of these challenges, students are demanding immediate intervention to improve their educational experience. They have called on the administration to take swift action to resolve these issues.
