Himanta Biswa Sarma announces Rs 51 crore project to transform Guwahati District Library

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the District Library in Guwahati will undergo a major transformation and be upgraded into a B-G-6 building through a Rs 51 crore project.
 

The Assam chief minister shared a video of the proposed project showing the entire structure of the library, as well as the exterior, further informing that the proposal for the District Library at Ambari, Guwahati has been facilitated. 
 

The new library will feature four library floors, three general study areas, a book store, cafeteria, parking facilities and other amenities for readers and visitors. 
 

Himanta Biswa Sarma shared “a sneak peek” and wrote on X, “The District Library in Guwahati is all set for a transformation with a Rs 51cr project to upgrade it into a B+G+6 building. It will have 4 Library floors, 3 General Study areas, book store, cafeteria, parking facilities and other amenities for readers and visitors.”
