Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on July 31 met Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, in his office at Lok Seva Bhavan.
The ministers held discussions on strengthening relations between Assam and Chhattisgarh. They also deliberated how the two states can contribute towards creating a developed country.
Taking to the microblogging site X, CM Himanta wrote, "I met the hardworking Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vijay Sharma, today in my office at Lok Seva Bhavan. There was discussion on further strengthening the relations between Assam and Chhattisgarh and the contribution of both the states towards developed India."
Earlier, on July 30, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a new initiative aimed at enhancing tourism in the state, addressing a key challenge of limited hotel accommodation. During a recent statement, Sarma highlighted that while Assam boasts numerous beautiful destinations, the lack of adequate hotel infrastructure has hindered tourism growth.
