If Rahul Gandhi removes Stalin from INDIA bloc then Congress will become more Hindu than BJP: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister and convenor of NEDA Himanta Biswa Sarma has strongly attacked the leaders of the INDIA alliance.

Himanta Biswa Sarma while interacting with the media said, "Tomorrow if anyone from the INDI alliance speaks against Muslims or Christians then immediately the person will be out from the bloc but if the same is said against HIndu then it is freedom of speech."

Himanta further asserted that if Rahul Gandhi removed DMK (Stalin) from the INDI alliance then I would think he have done something for the Hindus.

"Rahul Gandhi should work for Hindus once in his life," said Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that Rahul Gandhi could become 'king of Hindu hearts' and go ahead and remove Stalin from the alliance, and Congress would become more Hindu than BJP.

"If I was Rahul Gandhi I would have said on the same day you (Stalin) please leave...all Hindus will vote for him, this is an opportunity for the INDI bloc," CM Sarma added.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on September 15 stated that there should be a robust mechanism to identify illegal immigrants, particularly in states like Bihar, West Bengal and Assam as the illegal infiltration of immigrants such as Rohingyas is changing the demography in the states.

Speaking to the media while on a visit to Nalanda in Bihar said, "This is our biggest problem in our nation today. A lot of Rohingyas are coming or trying to infiltrate India every day. And we have seen large-scale inflation in West Bengal, Bihar and Assam. today demography is fast changing in those regions, we are sufferers of changing demography. I think this is a problem we have to take head-on. That is why, I personally feel that a national register of citizenship at some point in time will be necessary but we are always the sufferers and victims of the demographic invasion. I feel NRC should be implemented in regions like Assam, Bengal and Bihar and identify illegal infiltration. Identifying illegal immigrants is very important. Or else the demography of the entire eastern side will change completely".
