If you wish to do politics in India, then you have to chant 'Jai Shree Ram': Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on May 22, while addressing a poll rally in Jharkhand, raised concerns over the impact of illegal infiltration on social systems across several states. His remarks have ignited a fierce debate on the issue of immigration and its socio-cultural consequences.

Slamming the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) of neglecting the issues of the common people while playing appeasement politics, CM Sarma said, ""Brothers and sisters, today you have witnessed how our country has been affected due to the influx of infiltrators. Earlier, it was Assam, then it spread to West Bengal, Bihar and now Jharkhand is facing the issue of infiltrators. Our Jharkhand adivasi mothers and sisters are fooled and then later coaxed into marrying them to fulfill their demand of increasing their population. Brothers and sisters, you can see how the situation in Jharkhand is degrading day by day. And now the JMM leader comes to our rally and says Assalam Walekum instead of Jai Shree Ram. But I want to tell the JMM leader that if you wish to do politics in India, then you have to say Jai Shree Ram"

"We have witnessed how illegal infiltrators increase their population by targeting our mothers and sisters," Sarma stated. "This influx has altered our entire social structure. The problem began in Assam, spread to Bengal and Bihar, and now Jharkhand is also affected. No state has been spared" added CM Sarma while speaking about the rising incidents of illegal infiltration.
