ISKCON devotees rally in Tezpur against persecution of minorities in Bangladesh

Tezpur witnessed widespread protest today, December 4 as ISKCON devotees and concerned citizens gathered at Court Chariali to voice their opposition to the recent arrest and imprisonment of monk Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh. The demonstrators also condemned the alleged atrocities against Hindus and other religious minorities in the neighboring country.

The protest was organized jointly by the Lok Jagaran Manch Sonitpur District Committee and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Participants criticized the Bangladeshi government for perpetuating a climate of oppression and called for immediate action to halt the persecution of minorities.

Chants against the Bangladeshi administration reverberated as protesters demanded justice for the detained monk and protection for the vulnerable minority communities. The rally highlighted growing concerns about religious intolerance and the need for stronger international intervention.
