Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a jibe at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, referring to him as a "chor" (thief) during a political campaign in New Delhi, on May 14.
The Assam CM slammed Kejriwal and accused him of shifting alliances for his personal benefit. He said that Kejriwal lacks political integrity.
Furthermore, Himanta Biswa Sarma also pulled in activist Anna Hazare's alleged statement saying that he knew that the Delhi CM would definitely engage in robbery activity but never though he would steal or engage in any illegal activity that would force him to sell liquor.
Speaking to reporters, Himanta also said that Kejriwal is sitting in Congress’ lap for political benefits, adding, "Kejriwal himself is a thief, but he claims others are thieves."
Meanwhile, Himanta Biswa Sarma also launched an attack against the AAP supremo leader for allegedly beating Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal.
He said, “Earlier, Kejriwal allegedly beat the Chief Secretary. Yesterday, he beat Rajya Sabha MP. The chairman of Rajya Sabha must take suo moto cognizance over this issue.”
Furthermore, he added, “I request the Vice President to look into the matter and initiate a probe against him.”
Rajya Sabha MP, Swati Maliwal had claimed in a PCR call earlier that Kejriwal’s personal assistant, Bibhav had assaulted her on the Delhi CM’S instructions.
