Major blaze breaks out in Assam's Jorhat, several shops gutted in fire, no casualties reported

A major blaze broke out in three shops in Jorhat, Assam early morning on November 2 prompting an immediate response from local authorities. 

Fire engines swiftly arrived at the scene to combat the blaze, successfully preventing it from spreading further and averting any reported injuries. 

Shwetang Mishra, Superintendent of Police in Jorhat, provided an update on the situation, stating, “The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation. However, fire tenders have been deployed, and our firefighters are actively working to bring the flames under control. We’re prioritizing the safety of nearby establishments and will restore normalcy as soon as possible.”

Local residents expressed relief at the prompt intervention of the fire brigade, which managed to contain the damage to the three shops involved.
