In a significant enforcement action, the forest department in Kokrajhar district, Assam, has successfully intercepted a substantial consignment of illegal timber logs.
The operation, spearheaded by Deputy Ranger Lalit Boro, took place in the Ultapani Forest within the Gourang Range, under the Huktugaon Forest Division.
The operation led to the confiscation of a large quantity of timber logs, alongside the seizure of 25 bicycles utilized for their transportation.
The successful raid underscores the forest department's relentless efforts to curb illegal logging activities and safeguard the region's precious natural resources.
