National Unity Day observed in Assam's Dhubri district

Assam's Dhubri district along with the entire nation, observed National Unity Day on the occasion of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary. 

A short run in favour of national unity was organised from the Raja Prabhat Chandra Baruah playground in Dhubri from 6 am to provide an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength, integrity, and security of our country.

It is worth mentioning that to honour the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, and to spread the message of national unity and the spirit of Rastriya Ekta the National Unity Week, is celebrated from October 25 to October 31.

In presence of Dhubri Municipal Board chairman Dr. Debmoy Sannal, district Development Commissioner Pallab Majumdar, ADC's, students of schools and colleges, police, CRPF officers and jawans were seen participating in the programme which was inaugurated by the district magistrate Dibakar Nath including the senior BJP leader Bimal Oswal and others officials.
