No compromise would be tolerated in Orunodoi scheme implementation: Minister Ashok Singhal

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on September 19 marked a significant step towards enhancing food security in Assam with the launch of Orunodoi 3.0. The initiative aims to include an additional 19,92,167 beneficiaries under the Food Security Act, thereby extending support to a broader segment of the state's population.

The launch event, held across the state, saw the formal initiation of the process to identify and include these new beneficiaries. Chief Minister Sarma underscored the government's commitment to ensuring food security for all, emphasizing the importance of this expansion under the Orunodoi scheme.

During the event, state minister and MLA Ashok Singhal, addressed the gathering. He outlined the process for selecting beneficiaries, stating that public meetings would be organized at the booth level in every village of the constituency to ensure transparency. Singhal assured that the selection process would be free from irregularities, stressing that no compromise would be tolerated in the scheme's implementation.

Minister Singhal issued a stern warning against any obstruction or malpractices. He specifically cautioned that strict action would be taken against any individual or political entity, including members of the Congress, who might attempt to hinder the scheme's rollout. "No person will be able to undermine the implementation of this scheme," he asserted, reaffirming the government's resolve to make the Orunodoi scheme a success.
