Rang Ghar - A remarkable example of Ahom architecture

And Asia's first sports pavilion is situated in Sivasagar, Assam.The amphitheater was initially built of bamboo and wood, during the reign of Swargadeo Rudra Singha. 

The Ahom Kings used this place as their main entertainment hub,where buffalo fights, Bihu festivities were organized.

Later Swargadeo Pramatta Singha rebuilt the ampitheatre out of brick in AD 1744-51.

The building was constructed using fine and thin baked bricks, along with rice and eggs as a mortar instead of cement.
