Reacting to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s recent statement on the alleged nexus between Congress and George Soros, Congress leader Ripun Bora criticized the remarks, describing them as a diversionary tactic by the BJP.
Speaking to the media, Bora remarked, "The statement by CM Sarma can be interpreted in two ways. Firstly, it reflects the inherent nature of both Himanta Biswa Sarma and the BJP to make such claims. If the BJP truly had information about a nexus between Sonia Gandhi, the Congress party, and George Soros, why did they remain silent for 10 years?"
He further alleged that the BJP is raising the issue now to deflect attention from the ongoing Adani controversy. "They have only brought this up to distract the public from the scrutiny surrounding the Adani issue," Bora added.
