Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar visits Brahmaputra river heritage centre in Guwahati

Union Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, embarked on a tour to explore key sites in Northeast India as part of his new responsibilities. After visiting Arunachal Pradesh, Minister Khattar arrived in Guwahati on July 8, where he expressed enthusiasm about his journey and upcoming engagements.

"Since I have got the new responsibility, I have started visiting different places. The first destination was Arunachal Pradesh and today I am here in Guwahati, tomorrow we have meetings. I got to visit the Heritage centre and Brahmaputra Riverfront," Minister Khattar remarked during his visit.

Highlighting the significance of his visit, Minister Khattar toured the Mahabahu Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre, located in Guwahati's Panbazar. This centre, managed by the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), showcases the cultural and historical significance of the Brahmaputra River. It serves as a focal point for promoting tourism and heritage conservation in Assam.

During his tour, Minister Khattar interacted with local officials and dignitaries, discussing potential development initiatives and the preservation of cultural heritage along the Brahmaputra. 

Minister Khattar's tour also included a visit to the Brahmaputra Riverfront, where he appreciated the natural beauty and strategic importance of the river in the region's socio-economic landscape.

Tomorrow, Minister Khattar is scheduled to participate in high-level meetings to discuss further development plans for the region.
