ASSAM: ASSAMESE GIRL TO REPRESENT INDIA IN THE PEACE PROGRAM IN USA

Salma Hussain, a young girl hailing from Sontoli, a remote village in the Boko LAC is selected for 'Peace Program 2018' at Andi Leadership Institute for Young Women in Washington DC, USA. According to Salma, the Institute selects eight girls from all over world every year and this time Salma is selected for the program and she will represent India. She is very happy and excited for the program.

Addressing to media she said that during the discussion of peace process, she will emphasis more on communal conflicts between two communities in the Assam state and as well as in India to find out peace solutions. On the occasion, Salma was felicitated by Ex Health Minister of Assam Dr. Kamala Kalita along with Nazma- Hira Memorial Public School students and teachers.
