NEW DELHI: India in the last 102 days for the first time reported fresh cases of COVID-19 below 40,000 on Tuesday.

India in the last 24 hours reported 37,566 fresh cases of COVID-19 as informed by the Health Ministry.

With this India has a total of 3,03,16,897 COVID cases, out of which 5,52,659 are active and 2,93,66,601 people recovered.

During the period 907 patients succumbed to the virus which mounted the COVID fatality rate to 3,97,637 as per official data.

India's recovery rate has increased to 96.87 per cent so far.

As per Health Ministry, 52,76,457 doses of vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours out of which 11,52,236 received the first dose.
