Celebrating Children's Day, Anuradha Cineplex, in collaboration with the Dr. Phani Sharma Welfare Trust, organized a special screening of the critically acclaimed film 12th Fail for economically disadvantaged children from Guwahati’s slum areas. Approximately 400 children were invited to the free film show, held at Anuradha Cineplex, to enjoy the inspirational story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, a man who rose from poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer.
The event was supported by local organizations such as the Women Development Centre, Kharguli, and Child Friendly Guwahati under Snehalaya (Don Bosco), who took the initiative to transport the children in their care to the theater. The children were thrilled to witness the story of resilience and determination portrayed in 12th Fail, a biographical drama directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film, based on Anurag Pathak’s book, features Vikrant Massey in the lead role and has become a sleeper hit since its release on October 27, 2023, garnering over ₹69 crore worldwide on a modest budget.
