Assam Lok Sabha Elections: Polling agent collapses in Bongaigaon's Mohanpur Nayapara Primary School

In a concerning and unfortunate incident, a polling agent at the Mohanpur Nayapara Primary School No 171 polling booth in Jogighopa, Bongaigaon, Assam fell unconscious while on duty on May 7.

This unforeseen incident led to a halt in polling at the center for 30 minutes. Das was immediately taken to the Bongaigaon Civil Hospital for further medical care.

Meanwhile, Assam has reported a 27.34 per cent voter turnout in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections across four constituencies till 11.30 am.

The highest polling percentage was noted in Kokrajhar with 28.28 percent, followed by Dhubri with 27.77 percent. Additionally, Barpeta is in third place with 27.19 percent and Guwahati lags behind with 26.25 percent.
