Congress leader Jitendra Singh accuses BJP of using mafia elements as "ATM machines" in Assam

The Congress party organized a massive election campaign rally in Kokrajhar, Assam. The event saw the participation of key leaders including AICC general secretary Jitendra Singh and APCC president Bhupen Borah, who are actively involved in the upcoming polls in the state.

The focus of the campaign was on supporting Garjan Mushahary, the Congress candidate from the Kokrajhar constituency. The rally commenced with Singh and Borah arriving via helicopters at Dhirbeel in Kokrajhar district. From there, they led a large bike rally, showcasing their solidarity and enthusiasm for the campaign.

The highlight of the day was a grand public meeting held at the smuggling ground in Kokrajhar city, where thousands of supporters gathered to listen to the party leaders' speeches and pledges. Singh, while addressing the gathering, criticized the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) and Bodoland People's Front (BPF), referring to them as agents of the BJP in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

Singh's speech resonated with the crowd as he accused the BJP of using mafia elements as "ATM machines" in Assam. He also took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election campaign, expressing disappointment that Modi did not allocate time to address the tragic incident in Munipur but visited Assam seeking votes.

Meanwhile, amidst the campaign fervor, Garjan Mushahary of the Congress and Jun Das of the Oboro Suraksha Samity filed their nomination papers for the Kokrajhar constituency, marking a significant step in the electoral process.
