Assam: 500 youth congress worker join in Rakibul Hussain boycott bike rally

The Boycott Rakibul Hussain rally, led by recently resigned Congress leader Noor Sofiqul Wajid, saw active participation from Youth Congress and National Students' Union of India (NSUI) activists. Around 500 workers from the constituency joined a massive bike rally organized as part of the program.

They carried slogans denouncing Rakibul Hussain, expressing dissatisfaction with his leadership. The participants carried placards and banners with messages like "Rakibul Hussain Murdabad" and "Rakibul Hussain Go-back".

Wajid addressed the media saying, "I haven't made any decisions to join any party immediately. Our current decision is not to vote for Rakibul Hussain and that's why we have come together."

After I resigned from the party, as a sign of support 500 boys from Youth Congress and NSUI came to join the bike rally with their own will, to boycott Rakibul Hussain from our constituency", he further added.

The departure of Noor Sofiqul Wajid from the Youth Congress and NSUI further intensified the situation, reflecting a growing dissatisfaction among party members. Wajid's resignation marked a turning point, leading to a chain reaction as hundreds of workers followed suit, withdrawing their support and implementing the Boycott Rakibul Hussain program.

The bike rally started from Gandhi Maidan in Chapar and traversed to Bilasipara. Along the route, participants vocally expressed their opposition to Rakibul Hussain's candidacy and urged the people of Dhubri not to vote for him.

Wajid also said, "One should not vote for Rakibul Hussain because he never raised his voice for the people of Dhubri."

Noor Sofiqul Wajid, in his statement against Rakibul Hussain, highlighted the need for change and unity within the party. His appeal to the electorate resonated with the sentiments of those who participated in the rally.
