As the Lok Sabha elections draw near, political activities are gaining momentum across the country. In a bid to bolster their campaigns, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Ghasigaon in Gohpur on April 8.
The election fervor was palpable today as Minister Ashok Singhal arrived in Gohpur. Making his presence known, Singhal headed straight to the Ghasigaon Stadium, where he engaged in discussions with party leaders and workers. The visit aimed to strategize and galvanize support for the upcoming elections.
"He will come on the 7th, and at first will join for a meeting. And in the evening he will head for Dibrugarh to hold a conversation with the party workers. The next morning he will head for Arunachal, from there he will come to Lakhimpur and address the public. Then he will come to Gohpur to address the public and then he will return back", confirmed Ashok Singhal.
Accompanying Singhal were notable figures from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Ranjit Dutta, the BJP candidate from the Sonitpur Lok Sabha constituency. Dutta, along with MLAs Utpal Bora and Pramod Borthakur, convened with Minister Ashok Singhal to deliberate on election tactics and reinforce the party's stance.
