With the theme of 'Music For Change', the festival will promote the exchanging of cultures and making new friends from across India and the globe. Everything amidst the stunning natural beauty of the island...around refreshing greenery, by the side of river Brahmaputra and under a open sky!

The team Majuli's stated goal is to "bring all artists on to one stage irrespective of any genres of music and exchange ideas and culture".

Majuli was formally declared the first Island district of India on 8th September 2016.
