Bollywood superstar Rani Mukerji clinched the prestigious IIFA Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her emotionally charged performance in the critically acclaimed film "Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway." The actress received the coveted trophy on Saturday evening at the dazzling IIFA Awards ceremony held in Abu Dhabi. 

"Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway," directed by Ashima Chibber, is a heart-wrenching tale of an Indian immigrant mother who battles against all odds to regain custody of her children in a foreign land. Mukerji's portrayal of the resilient protagonist resonated deeply with audiences worldwide, earning her widespread acclaim and critical praise. 

In her acceptance speech, Mukerji expressed her gratitude to the IIFA jury and the audience for recognizing her work. "It's an incredible honor to be standing here, receiving this award for a film that holds a very special place in my heart," she said. "I'm grateful to the entire team of 'Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway' for their unwavering support and dedication." 

The film, which also stars Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh, and Anirban Bhattacharya, explores themes of cultural identity, motherhood, and the complexities of immigration. Mukerji's powerful performance has been hailed as a career-defining moment, solidifying her status as one of Bollywood's most versatile and talented actresses.
