As many as 46 deaths have been reported on Thursday in the recent earthquake in Albania.
According to the ministry’s statement, out of 46 deaths, 22 of them killed are from Durres and Kruje.

The bodies were pulled from the wreckages in the tragic incidents by the rescue teams in the earthquake-hit sites. The rescue operations are underway near the collapsed apartments and hotels in the coastal city of Durres.
A 6.4-magnitude earthquake had hit the Balkan state on Tuesday.
Rescue teams from around Europe have flown in, bringing dogs and specialized cameras to search for survivors. Nearly 50 people have been pulled out alive, mostly on Tuesday.
Thousands of people have been displaced, either because of severely damaged homes or were unsafe because of the continuing aftershocks. The authorities in Durres on Wednesday night, moved the people sleeping in tents to hotels and a sports centre.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama has assured to rehouse the displaced people by next year.
