Ever since Aung San Suu Kyi was thrown out of power and put behind bars, Myanmar's Junta army has shocked the world with their cruel deeds of killing more than hundreds of people including brutal crackdowns on protestors.

With the latest act of cruelty shown by the Junta, what could be regarded to be a scene from a war or a plot from a war movie, around 80 people were killed in a deadly airstrike.

Myanmar's Junta army on October 23, launched an inhumane air strike in A Nang Pa in Hpakant township targeting the 62nd Anniversary ceremony of the founding of the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) killing at least 80 people.

The incident was reported to have occurred at about 8:00 PM on October 23.

As per the latest inputs, the death toll has gone up to 75 with more in danger of succumbing to their injuries as regime troops are constantly blocking medical supplies, claims Kachin Independence Army (KIA).

Notably, among the deaths were famous public figures and singers, high-ranked officials of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and local businessmen and women.

So far, among dozens killed in the brutal attack, actor Lahtaw Zau Ding, singer Aurai, singer Galau Yaw Lwi, and pianist Ko King are confirmed killed.

The organizer of the event invited 9 singers and actors to entertain the audiences for the anniversary celebration of KIA.

Breaking the silence over the matter, General Gun Maw (KIA) in a letter said that A Nang Pa – the epic place of the junta regime’s air strike is not the base camp of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), but it is a small outback amenity for travellers.

Further, the General remarked that the airstrike which claimed several people and injured hundreds shows that the junta regime treats even travellers as their enemies – not just the ethnic armed groups for generations.

“Although the older people used to teach the young generation not to make unamendable mistakes, the ones who made those mistakes are the older people,” General Gun Maw said.

He concluded his short letter that is aimed at the junta leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing that all the tears and cries for those who lost in this air strike would be an invaluable investment.
