Israel's defence forces have forwarded their tanks at the Gaza border amid the war with Hamas.

Israel has positioned tanks and other military vehicles along the border with Gaza. The IDF told CNN that the entire length of the fence along the border with Gaza is covered with tanks and air coverage.

Meanwhile, the defence forces have also evacuated civilians close to the border and called up more than 300,000 Israeli reservists.

Israel has 169,500 active military personnel in the army, navy, and paramilitary. They also have 465,000 reserve forces.

On the otherhand, Israel’s top military spokesperson said the army was able to confirm the identities of 97 people taken captive by Hamas.

Speaking in a televised press briefing, Daniel Hagari also said the offensive Israel launched on Gaza was meant to eliminate the ability of Hamas to govern.

“The military is preparing for the next stage of the war,” he said, adding that 222 soldiers died since the start of the war.

International Committee of Red Cross claimed that three of five water plants in Gaza are out of service due to the Israeli bombing and lack of fuel following Israel’s imposition of a “total siege”.
