MANIPUR: FINAL DRAFT BILL FOR ILP TO BE FINALISED ON JULY 10

The draft bill issued by government for inner line permit would be finalised on July 10 with the consent of all stakeholders of Manipur.

Convenor of Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System, Arjun Tenheiba stated this during a press conference held today at its office located at Sega Road. He said a draft bill was handed over to JCILPS by the government on June 28.

Regarding the drafted bill issued by the government, all stake holders including members of United Naga Council (UNC) held a discussion on July 3 at Hotel Imphal.

Arjun said JCILPS and all the stakeholders are supposed to give a final report regarding the drafted bill of government, but it will be handover only after discussing it in details with all the stakeholders of the state. The drafted bill will be finalised on July 10 after a thorough discussion is undertaken in at meeting with all the stake holders, Arjun added.
