Manipur, a state already hit by violent unrest, is now dealing with its worst flood in decades. This has caused significant damage, claiming lives and leaving many homeless.
In response to this crisis, local volunteers, including groups like Arambai Tenggol, have been working tirelessly to help those in need. Alongside security forces, state disaster management teams, and district administrations, these volunteers are working around the clock to manage the situation.
Some of the remarkable rescue operations took place in the worst-affected areas of Lairikyengbam Leikai, Salanthong, and Nagaram in Imphal East district.
A video has surfaced showing volunteers carrying a baby in a cauldron through the floodwaters. This creative solution ensured the baby's safety as they navigated the dangerous waters, ultimately reuniting the child with their mother.
Arambai Tengol also assisted in rescuing patients from Raj Medicity, further demonstrating their dedication. As Manipur continues to face the aftermath of these natural disasters, the bravery and resourcefulness of its volunteers provide a beacon of hope and strength for the entire community.
