Manipur CM Biren Singh residence allegedly mobbed in Heingang, Imphal East

Situation escalated in Imphal East as an angry mob tried to storm into CM Biren Singh's personal residence located in Heingang.

As per reports, the incident of firing has also been reported in the Heingang area in Imphal East. This house is in Heingang Assembly Const under Imphal East District. CM Biren Singh is at the CM bungalow and is safe. Forces retaliated with tear gas shells. Live rounds allegedly fired. It’s still developing.

Earlier an irate mob burnt down a BJP mandal office in Thoubal district on September 27.

It is to be mentioned here that this is not the first time a BJP office has been attacked amid the ongoing ethnic rift, earlier in June three BJP offices in Thoubal district were vandalised by miscreants.

The BJP Thoubal district offices were vandalised as a mob destroyed the office gate, windows and windshield of a Mahindra Scorpio parked in the complex.
