The FEEDS Group of Institutions (FGI) in the remote village of Hengbung has achieved national recognition despite ongoing regional conflicts. The colleges have become a beacon of hope, inspiring students to reach new heights, especially following their recent success in the ICAR-JRF examinations.
During a special ceremony held today at the College Conference Hall, five exceptional students were honored for their impressive rankings in the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exams, along with 33 others who successfully cleared the All India Entrance Exam through ICAR. The event was attended by prominent officials, including Deputy Commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari, who commended the students' achievements amidst challenging circumstances.
Among the top achievers, Kaipunglen Kipgen secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 26 in Biotechnology, while Thangminlun Haokip achieved AIR-55 in Agriculture. Other notable students included Phalneilhing Singson, Lunjapimon Haokip, and Vahjahat Khongsai, who also excelled in their respective fields.
Thangminlun expressed his surprise and gratitude, stating, “Everything I’ve accomplished is thanks to my college. Without its support, I wouldn’t have reached these ranks.” His ambition to revolutionize agriculture in hilly districts reflects a strong commitment to contributing back to his community.
Chairman Haokholet Kipgen emphasized the college's rapid growth since its establishment in 2019, highlighting its status as one of the first private institutions in Northeast India to achieve such success in the JRF exam. “This success feels surreal, erasing the memory of all challenges we've faced,” he remarked.
Looking ahead, Kipgen revealed ongoing discussions with major corporations, including the Ambani Group, for potential campus recruitment opportunities. Despite current challenges in Manipur, he remains optimistic that conditions will improve, allowing for further growth and development of the institution.
