They used to pay illegal taxes every year to Kuki militants like ZRA, KNF, KRA etc. Besides Meitei community has to take permission from Kuki militants for conducting any kind of celebration or festival.

The above matter has been shared with Amit Shah but he didn't give any comments in this regard from his side in the meeting, she added.

She stated that "Churachandpur is my original land where we have been staying there for many years. We all want to go back there but at the same time, we also feel unsafe and insecure. Therefore we urged for early resettlement to the home minister providing adequate security measures. Amit Shah told us that resettlement of displaced victims in their original land will take time but he assured to take measures in this regard."

Another displaced victim from Moreh, N Pulindro Singh who is also an advisor of Meitei Council Moreh said that Home Minister Amit Shah had informed that a survey for damaged houses because of arson for both communities will be carried out and to provide support.
