Manipur: Residents protest brutal abduction and murder of local, submits memorandum

Residents of Laipham Khunou in Imphal East district held a sit-in protest today, condemning the brutal killing of Laishram Johnson and the torture of Elam Roshan at Chingmeirong. 

The protestors highlighted the incident, stating that three individuals were allegedly abducted by unknown miscreants the previous evening. 

Among them, Laishram Johnson was found dead and is currently at the RIMS mortuary, while Elam Roshan is critically injured and receiving treatment at Shija Hospital's ICU.

Both individuals are from Laipham Khunou.

One protestor remarked that the abduction and torture of individuals is unacceptable and urged the authorities to take appropriate action against the culprits to prevent such incidents in the future. The protestors called for swift justice for the victims.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, demanding immediate action and accountability for the tragic incident.
