The National Secretary of Republican party of India (Athawale) (RPI-Athawale), Maheshwar Thounaojam filed a zero FIR against the perpetrators of Jiribam hostage killings in Delhi on November 18.
RPI mentioned in its FIR that the gruesome murder of 6 individuals including 3 children following abduction by suspected Kuki militants have raised serious concerns about regional security and safety of civilians in the area.
"Reports indicate that the six individuals were forcibly taken hostage by armed Kuki militants. Subsequently, their photographs have been released on various social media platforms, seemingly as an attempt to intimidate both the government of Manipur and the Meetei community. The lifeless bodies of all the abducted where found floating dead in the river by the nearby villagers. This act appears to be a calculated move to escalate tensions in the region and exert psychological pressure. I kindly request you to treat this matter with the utmost urgency and lodge Zero FIR to the punish the culprit by the rules and regulations of law", mentioned Maheshwar Thounaojam in the FIR.
Maheshwar Thounaojam on behalf of RPI has demanded severe punishment against the perpetrators.
