Long service medal awarded to 59 Mizoram Police personnel

The first ever medal distribution ceremony of Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak and Utkrisht Seva Padak in the state of Mizoram was held on Thursday at Arya Mess PHQ, Aizawl. 

The DGP of Mizoram, Anil Shukla, IPS awarded 59 personnel of various ranks of Mizoram Police, the auspicious medal for the year 2020 and 2022. 
        

The Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak and Utkrisht Seva Padak are instituted by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for the permanent police personnel and other permanent support staff working in Central Armed Police Forces, State/UT Police Forces, Central Police Organizations, Assam Rifles, National Security Guards, Intelligence Organizations of the Central Government/State/UT/CAPF, Home Guards and any other armed Police force of the Union throughout the Indian union in consideration of the long service medal based on conspicuous devotion, skill and courage as member of police forces with the length of service after 15 years of service for Utkrisht Seva Padak and  25 years of service for Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak.
