Assam Rifles, in a joint effort with the Mizoram police, executed a successful operation that uncovered a significant stockpile of illicit materials on Wednesday, November 6. Acting on variable intelligence, the joint forces established a mobile vehicle checkpoint along the Serchhip-Thenzawl road.

The operation led to the interception of a suspicious white vehicle. Upon inspection, authorities discovered an extensive cache of explosives, comprising 9,600 Gelatin sticks, 9,400 detonators, and approximately 1,800 meters of Cordtex detonating cord. Two individuals were arrested at the scene and subsequently handed over to the Mizoram Police for further investigation, along with the seized items.

This operation highlights the ongoing vigilance of security forces in combating illegal trafficking that poses a threat to regional stability.
