Mizoram: Air Force Officer Manisha Padhi appointed as India's first woman Aide de Camp

Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati appointed Lady Air Force Officer Squadron Leader Manisha Padhi as the first woman from the Armed Forces to serve as Aide de Camp (ADC) in Raj Bhawan.

She is a 2015 batch Indian Air Force Officer. Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati highlighted her appointment as a milestone and a testament to women breaking gender norms.

Sqn Leader Manisha Padhi, who has previously served at Air Force Stations in Bidar, Pune, and Bhatinda, formally assumed her new role in the afternoon and was introduced to the officers and staff at Raj Bhavan, Mizoram.
