Mizoram Winter Festival Inaugurated by tourism minister

Mizoram Tourism Minister Pi Lalrinpuii today inaugurated the six-day Winter Festival 2023 Cum Mega Exhibition at AR Ground, Aizawl.
 
The Chief Guest said that the Winter Festival is a good opportunity to showcase our handicrafts and craftsmanship. Tourism is an industry and a good source of income. However, Mizoram has only 0.01% of the tourists visiting North East India, she said.
 
Training on the tourism industry will be conducted so that youths can have successful employment with the new government, she said.
 
Cheraw, Hlado, Chheih Zai, the choir, band, and solo perform in the Winter Festival 2023 Cum Mega Exhibition opening ceremony.
 
100 stalls, including a food court, were set up at the venue. Various items and Mizo handicrafts are exhibited for the public to buy.
 
The six-day Winter Festival will be held daily from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The concert will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
