Myanmar junta strikes rebel camp near Mizoram border

The Myanmar Army fighter jets that attacked Camp Victoria in Chin State, Burma, on January 10, 2023, also dropped a bomb on Indian soil. Locals confirmed it with evidence.

As per the sources, On  January 10, 2023, at around 5:15 p.m. local Myanmar time, Burmese military fighter jets dropped at least four explosive devices on Camp Victoria, the Headquarters of the Chin National Front/Chin National Army in Chin State, Myanmar, near the border with Mizoram State, India.

Due to the sudden attack, five members of the Chin National Army (CNA) were killed in the attack. Five fighter jets were identified, three Yak-130s and two MIG-29s.

But as per Indian Defence reports, while denying the incident on Indian soil, it is clarified that the activity reported is well inside Myanmar territory and not inside the Indian territory.

A source also informed that at least one bomb landed on Indian soil and damaged the truck nearing Mizoram Registration No. MZ01J6847 of a villager from Farkawn Village in Mizoram State, India, which borders Chin State, Myanmar.

The bomb landed about 50 meters away from the truck and destroyed its front mirror, but the owner of the truck was able to escape and hide from the attackers.
Due to a lack of firearms, several resistance groups defending the village withdrew, according to the Sagaing District People's Defence Force.

At the Shwegu monastery in the village, one of Sitagu's ten patron saint monks, Ashin Gadarthara, was killed during the attack.

One of Min Aung Hlaing, the leader of the regime's favorite monks, Sitagu Sayadaw Ashin Nyanissara, built the Sitagu Buddhist Academy.

He referred to the junta leader as a "royal" and a wise and generous head of state in March of last year. Regarding the horrors committed by the junta, Sitagu Sayadaw has kept quiet.
